Marriott Joins True North Hotel Group and Other Franchisees in Supporting the ‘High Five Tour 2014’
For those of you that haven’t yet heard, I am pleased to announce that my teams and I have partnered with the True North Hotel Group and other franchisees in support of this year’s Wounded Warriors Family Support “High Five Tour,” which is a road trip across 48 states to raise funds toward the building of smart homes for severely wounded veterans and to thank our military families for their sacrifices. My teams have donated Marriott gift cards to provide accommodations along the tour, and many of our franchise partners, coordinated by True North, will also assist with stops between California and Maine.
During the High Five Tour 2014, Wounded Warriors Family Support’s red, white and blue 2014 Ford Mustang GT500 is traveling to 65 cities (view the list). I wanted to invite you to join us in supporting military families by visiting a stop on the tour and signing the car with a message of support to our country’s veterans and their families. And, for those of you kind enough to lend a hand, donate, or provide rooms, I wanted to send along sincere thanks on behalf of all of us.
Absolutely 100% of all funds donated to the High Five Tour 2014 will go directly to the construction of smart homes. These specially designed homes are custom-built to provide the severely wounded veterans quality of life and independence that otherwise would not be possible. The tour hopes to raise enough to give three deserving wounded warriors and their families these custom homes.

- Join us for the kick-off rally at the Marriott Marquis San Diego Marina on May 24 at 10 a.m.
- Find the Mustang at Petco Park on May 25 for the San Diego Padres game (1:00 p.m.).
- Meet the team on Memorial Day between 10:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. at the USS Midway Museum, which has been honoring the legacy for 10 years this year.
You can also join us at our headquarters in Bethesda, MD on July 8 at 8:00 a.m. for a rally as the tour stops in to visit.
