Announcing Phase II of SpringHill Suites Evening Beverage Initiative – For Hotels with Bars


As you know, the SHS Evening Beverage Program is aimed toward activating our “inspired” lobbies and meeting the F&B needs of our current and next-generation target guests. Phase I of the program, “Modernize Your Market,” was successfully launched to all SHS hotels earlier this year. This phase elevated the food and beverage offerings in The Market, including the selection of beer and wine, to meet the needs of our target guests.

We are pleased to announce the upcoming launch of Phase II of the program, which is designed specifically for SHS hotels with bars, as well as for new hotels that will open with bars. This program will provide hotels with a core food and beverage (beer, wine and spirits) offering, ensuring a consistent experience for our guests. Owners and franchisees of hotels with bars can view details below.  


STEPS TO PREPARE

  • Attend the Launch Webinar.
    • Ensure your above-property team and GMs attend the “SHS Evening Beverage Program – Hotels with Bars” launch webinar on Wednesday, July 30 at 3:00 p.m. ET (webinar past).

 

ROLLOUT TIMELINE

  • July 30, 2014 – Initiative Kick-Off. The launch webinar will review what’s to come with this new bar program and review the program timeline.
  • September 1, 2014 – Land-It Tasks Available. Hotels with bars will be pushed the Land-It tasks for this program.
  • October 1, 2014 – Compliance Deadline for Core Beverage Program. By October 1, all SHS hotels with bars must comply with the minimum program. The beverage component of the program becomes a standard on October 1.
  • January 31, 2015 – Compliance Deadline for Core Food Program, China and Menu/Collateral.
    • By January 31, 2015, all SHS hotels with bars must serve the Core menu or Core + Enhanced menu. Certain hotels may be exempt, if operating a concept bar, through a brand exemption process.
    • New hotels and hotels not currently using china will also be required to follow the brand China program (existing hotels required upon replacement).
    • The program Menu/Collateral must also be in place by January 31, 2015.  
  • July 1, 2015 – Brand Standard Audit (BSA). The Beverage, Food, China and Menu/Collateral elements Phase II of the SHS Evening Beverage program will become a Brand Standard confirmed on the BSA.
