Brian King to Take on Additional Role as Global Sales Officer


KingI wanted to update you on an important organizational change at Marriott. With Dave Townsend’s retirement, Brian King will be taking on responsibility within the Global Sales Organization (GSO) as our new Global Sales Officer, in addition to retaining his current responsibilities as Global Brand Officer for Marriott Signature Brands. Brian will continue to report to Stephanie Linnartz, our Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing & Commercial Officer.

Day-to-day leadership of the GSO will be shared with the continental Chief Sales & Marketing Officers and Brian will partner with them on various advisory boards and long-standing customer forums. This will help to ensure continued success of Marriott’s industry-leading worldwide global accounts sales organization. Brian’s comprehensive experience in Brand Management, Regional Sales, Reservations, Revenue Management, and Operations makes him well suited for this additional responsibility. He holds a B.A. in Communications from Cardinal Stritch University and has completed executive education courses at Northwestern University and Cornell University.
