Marriott International Response to Ebola Virus
In response to the Ebola outbreak, Marriott International has developed an Ebola Preparedness and Response Protocol and has reinforced its existing global protocols for addressing infectious diseases.
Earlier today, we made this information available to all franchise hotel general managers via Marriott Global Source and are attaching a copy here for your reference. (View Franchise GM Email)
In addition, we have directed our managed hotel general managers to share this information with their leadership teams, and review it verbally with front-line associates in daily Stand-Up Meetings, Town Halls or other venues, as soon as possible.
A team at Marriott Headquarters has been assembled to monitor new information, and if anything should change, we will advise you. In the meantime, we encourage you to get more information on the disease by going to the Ebola information pages at:
- World Health Organization (http://www.who.int/csr/disease/ebola/faq-ebola/en/)
- The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (http://www.cdc.gov/vhf/ebola/)
- The European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (http://www.ecdc.europa.eu/en/Pages/home.aspx)
If you receive any local media inquiries, we ask that you refer them to the company’s statement on Marriott News Center (www.MarriottNewsCenter.com).
Thank you,
