Meeting Services App (MSA) Global Brand Standard Effective April 1, 2016
Marriott’s Meeting Services App (MSA) is a key component of the Meetings Imagined Global Meeting Strategy, which aims to provide industry-leading digital experiences. MSA connects planners and hotel teams on any web-enabled device, in real-time, in order to create more time to empower, showcase and personalize every event from the planning through billing phases. MSA is now available across six brands and is live in more than 750 hotels in 50+ countries, and works in the planners’ and associates’ preference of 20 possible languages.
Effective April 1, 2016, MSA will become a global brand standard for JW Marriott, Renaissance Hotels, Marriott Hotels, and The Ritz-Carlton properties in order to elevate and ensure a consistent meeting planner experience. The standard requires these hotels to offer all MSA functionality to meeting planner customers. Prior to this date, event planning/catering, event operations, finance/accounting and property/group sales associates must complete the MSA User Training Curricula in myLearning (search ‘Meeting Services App’). View the full standard for details.
The effective date of this standard, which will be communicated to properties via an upcoming Weekly Update, will allow adequate time for hotels to implement MSA and for associates to complete the necessary training. The MSA team will work with Marriott’s brand and discipline leaders as well as the Global Quality team to determine if this standard will be included on the Brand Standard Audit in the future.
Additionally, we look forward to providing an update on our broader Meetings Imagined strategy later this quarter. If you have any questions in the meantime, please contact MeetingServicesApp@marriott.com.
