Marriott Hotels Greatroom Implementation Update

In the continuing effort to lift and shift the perception of the Marriott Hotels brand, the Greatroom concept was designed to create environments and experiences as dynamic and flexible as the lives that modern travelers lead. To date, the Greatroom has seen support from over 90% of Marriott Hotels in the U.S. & Canada. Furthermore, the Greatroom has exhibited positive growth in key performance indicators such as F&B Revenue Per Available Seat and F&B Sales Per Occupied Room*.

Per the brand standard, all required action steps were to be completed by year-end 2015, unless officially exempted, to ensure implementation of your Greatroom. The MH Greatroom is an integral component of enhancing brand perception and, as a result, will be assessed at properties via the Brand Standards Audit beginning July 1, 2016. To assist with preparing for the Brand Standards Audit, accounts with non-compliant properties, including properties which have taken steps towards certification but have not completed all action items, will receive a communication in the coming weeks outlining next steps.

Once the Brand Standards Audit begins, non-compliance will be taken into account when measuring both product and service components.

Thank you again for your support in ensuring Greatroom certification in your MH properties.
