Revised Meeting Services App (MSA) Brand Standard

Please note that this information will be sent to hotels via the May 30 Weekly Update.

The Meeting Services App (MSA) brand standard, which took effect April 1, has been revised to effectively support compliance measurement on the Brand Standard Audit (BSA) beginning July 1.

Revised Full Standard

All hotels with interior meeting space must offer MSA via a custom event link to meeting planner customers. Hotels must introduce / demonstrate MSA functionality to all meeting planner customers in order to meet continent usage goals as a brand standard. For more details, view the full standard.

Next Steps

The MSA Access Request Form is now available via Marriott Request Center for hotels that have yet to implement this program.  New hotel openings/conversions will have MSA inserted onto the critical path. One-time implementation and ongoing costs are outlined in 2016 budget instructions. Please note that this program remains optional for interested Courtyard or Autograph Hotels.

Marriott’s MSA is a key component of the Meetings Imagined Global Meeting Strategy, which aims to provide industry-leading digital experiences. MSA, which connects planners and hotel teams on any web-enabled device, in real-time, is available across six brands and is live in nearly 800 hotels.
