Royal Bank of Canada Cardholder Promotion Launches Dec. 11

Marriott Rewards Hotels in Canada | Hotels in Canada have an opportunity to participate in a promotion with the Royal Bank of Canada (RBC) to help increase bookings, drive awareness and encourage incremental spend among RBC cardholders. We believe this is a valuable opportunity for hotels as currently only 39% of RBC’s 13 million Canadian cardholders are staying at Marriott properties in Canada.

Promotion Details
This promotion will target RBC credit card holders who have not stayed with Marriott in the past 12 months, and will offer them a $100 statement credit when they spend $500 or more (room, F&B, etc.) on stays between Dec. 11, 2017 – March 5, 2018 (between Thursday and Sunday inclusive). Note: the offer is only valid for cardholders who load the offer on their RBC credit card.

Participating hotels will be responsible for the cost of $100 credit, and will receive monthly statements from RBC regarding fulfilled credits.

This promotion will be marketed through RBC’s channels, including RBC online banking, an email blast to their client database, and the RBC Offers Platform.

Next Steps
Hotels were sent a direct email and will also receive details of this promotion via the Nov. 13 Weekly Update, and those interested in participating in the promotion must opt in by Nov. 22. Hotels that wish to participate are asked to email becky.wedgewood@marriott.com no later than Nov. 22 with the following information: MARSHA code, contact name & email, Acquirer ID and Merchant ID.
