New Bulk Amenity Option
CFRST Franchise Management Companies | CFRST brands now have the option to replace 0.7 oz. bath/shower bottles with larger 8.5 oz bottles in bulk dispensers. This optional amenity has been requested by owners and franchisees, utilized with several other brands, and tested with positive feedback for CFRST brands.
Marriott is leveraging strong supplier relationships to offer this option which would require an upgrade to Paul Mitchell Tea Tree shampoo, conditioner and body wash. Following the successful Proof of Concept, we believe the upgrade to this product offering will enhance appeal with guests, and owners will find value in the cost efficiencies. We anticipate this new program will generate a cost savings of several cents on a per occupied room basis based upon lower cost of shampoo, conditioner, and bath wash (on a per ounce basis) and elimination of commonly replaced/taken bottles and soap bars. The new, larger bottles are not only more economical, but also recycle-friendly.
With the availability of the new bulk amenity option, the standard has been updated to provide Courtyard, Fairfield Inn, Residence Inn, SpringHill Suites and TownePlace Suites hotels. The standard already allows Aloft, Moxy, Element and Four Points hotels to use the bulk dispenser, and the standard will be updated for AC hotels in 2018. Marriott continues to evaluate the program to include additional brands.
Hotels that are interested in implementing the new bulk amenity option may proceed to order bulk dispensers. Detailed information on ordering the dispensers and Paul Mitchell product and training materials are available on MGS.
