Q3 Game Plans Now Available
Please note that GMs received their Q3 Game Plans via the July 2 edition of the Weekly Update, and received an overview of key actions via email on July 16.
The Q3 Game Plans are now available for Marriott Rewards and SPG hotels. Game Plans are intended to aid hotels in their planning for the quarter by providing an overview of actions that will be requested of hotels by Marriott in the coming months
August Launch Day
In August, we will launch a harmonized loyalty program with one set of benefits for members. The deployment of this new loyalty program across SPG, Marriott Rewards and The Ritz-Carlton Rewards hotels is critical to integration success and the ability to serve more guests with more brands and experiences.
The Q3 Game Plans include critical activities for both Marriott Rewards and SPG hotels to prepare for this launch, as well as key activities for SPG hotels to prepare for Reservations Platform cutovers. Notably, all associates should have accessed the Digital Learning Platform and completed assigned Loyalty Training by July 19. Please ensure your associates have completed all applicable training in preparation for Launch Day.
Additional Activities
Along with integration tasks, the Q3 Game Plans included activities intended to help hotels prepare to comply with the new General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) legal requirements. As you know, on May 25, the European Union implemented GDPR, which gives guests more control over their personal data and requires organizations to be able to show how personal data is handled. We’ve created resources to help hotels understand what this means, and this new training must be completed by Dec. 31.
