Sustainable Straw Use – BSA Eligible Beginning on July 1, 2019

Aligning global environmental concerns on the use of single use plastics with Marriott International’s Serve 360 2025 goals, properties must offer straws only upon request. The brand standard is BSA eligible starting on July 1, 2019. Global market factors and product availability will be considered in determining compliance of the standard.

Due to some requests from the disability community, we would recommend saving a few dozen plastic straws by outlet before completely depleting the supply in order to ensure that if a guest specifically requests a plastic straw, one can be provided.
