Talent Point by Marriott: J1 Associates for Winter Program


Talent Point by Marriott has teamed with Hospitality Services Group (HSG) to provide J1 associates for franchised hotels from mid-December 2019 to the end of March 2020. Positions included: housekeeping, F&B, kitchen and front desk. This program is unique as HSG acts as the employer and is responsible for all state department requirements, including housing and a culture program. Participating hotels must provide a minimum of 32 hours per week. 

Hospitality Services Group responsibilities as the employer and support to include:

  • On-boarding
  • Payroll and Payroll Taxes
  • Workman’s Compensation Coverage
  • Weekly Pay
  • Payroll Deductions
  • Housing and Transportation Logistics
  • Manage communication and compliance with the State Department guidelines
  • Provide welcoming package and gathering for J1 participants
  • Plan activities outside of work that expose J1 participants to U.S. culture
  • HSG scheduling team available to support seven days a week
  • HSG customer service support seven days a week
