Revenue Management Training Available


Marriott has a dynamic approach to revenue management that integrates people, processes and systems in pricing and inventory strategies. Tools, resources and trainings have been designed to help associates be as effective as possible. To help support your associates, review the available revenue management training opportunities below.


Group Strategy Foundations
Intended for hotel associates performing the function of Group Strategy.

The Group Strategy Foundations virtual training series is designed to provide attendees with the knowledge and skills to successfully formulate group and catering strategy recommendations as well as manage, communicate, and critique the strategies. 

Should you wish to encourage your hotels to register for the June workshop, visit MGS for additional information. The cost is $450 for the 14 week course.


OY Group Projection Impact
Intended for Sales, Revenue Management and GMs.

A recorded webinar covers the importance of Group Projection accuracy as related to the Supply ADVisor of One Yield and the overall One Yield outputs.


Revenue Management Skills Training Class (RMST)
Intended for hotel associates performing a Revenue Management function.

The Revenue Management Skills virtual training series, which begins June 4, is designed to provide attendees with the knowledge and core skills needed to successfully perform the daily inventory management and analysis tasks. Participants will learn about key Revenue Management concepts, processes, systems and tools and how to apply the skills to real-life business situations.

Should you wish to encourage your hotels to register for the June workshop, visit MGS for additional information. The cost is $400 for the 11 week course.


RevGen Workshops
Intended for franchise management company and franchised hotel associates performing a Revenue Management function.

As previously communicated, to help enhance sales results and increase the outcomes, this one-day training opportunity is available to all Marriott brands within the “Premium” and “Select” Tiers. Attendees will gain knowledge to grow their competitive edge and boost their 2019 results. 


One Yield GM Workshops
Intended for franchised hotel GMs.

General Managers in the Austin and Dallas markets were recently invited to upcoming One Yield Advanced User Workshops. Two identical sessions (one morning, one afternoon) are being held in Austin on May 7 and in Dallas on May 9. Encourage your hotels to participate as the workshops will cover the key inputs to One Yield and how GMs can help to improve the accuracy of the inputs to drive top line revenue. Participants do not need to be a certified One Yield user to attend.

The cost is $175 per attendee, and attendees are responsible for their own travel, hotel and incidentals. There are two identical sessions being held each day, the morning from 8:00-11:30 and afternoon 1:00-4:30, and attendees can choose the date/time/location they prefer.  Seats are limited, so please encourage your hotels to register as soon as possible.

Bi-monthly Revenue Management Training Webinar Series
Intended for hotel associates performing a Revenue Management function.

This bi-monthly webinar series is intended to educate users on various topics with content developed by Field Support and subject matter experts.

  • June 4 & 5 | Forecast Accuracy Tool
    • This session will cover the ins and outs of using the Forecast Accuracy Tool including how to populate, interpret, and utilize the tool to help make better strategic decisions.
  • June 18 & 19 | Supply Forecasting (Group/Rev Planning/Intraday changes)
    • Group forecasting is a critically important part of the Revenue Management Process, and can impact One Yield’s outputs more than Remaining Demand and Pricing. Join this webinar to learn best practices and forecasting tips and resources
