Franchise Management Companies | Hotels are required to have a clear process for Lost and Found items that adheres to the Lost & Found brand standard.
These processes must have steps to address items found on property as well as items reported as lost by guests. The process must also include a lost and found log that tracks critical information such as the date items were found, who found the item, a description of the item, where the item is stored and the specifics on the return or disposal/disposition of the items. This log should also be used when guests report items as lost so that they can be cross-referenced when an item is found.
