Supernova Rate Shopping Tool to be Expanded to Include Agoda


Hotels will be made aware of this change via the Aug. 18 version of the Weekly Update.

Starting on September 2, 2019, Supernova will perform rate parity shopping on Agoda in addition to the existing shopped channels for all hotels globally. Hotels will have access to Agoda parity data directly in Supernova along with the other existing channels, and franchise management company contacts have access to the data within their monthly Supernova Rate Parity Scorecard.

Agoda results will be incorporated into Rate Parity Scores and the Supernova BRG charging structure beginning on October 1, 2019. Agoda will be considered an OTA (in addition to Expedia and Booking.com) for the purposes of parity score calculation and Supernova charges. For September shops, all Agoda results will be centrally reversed at month-end. This will provide hotels a grace period in which to correct any existing parity issues found on Agoda.
