Enhanced Reservation Solution (ERS) – 2020 Rollout

Franchise Management Companies of Full Service Marriott Rewards Hotels | As communicated in May 2019, the Enhanced Reservation Solution (ERS) global rollout is continuing and there are now over 1,100 hotels live worldwide. In 2020, we are targeting to have 2,800 hotels globally with FSPMS, Lightspeed, and Opera PMS systems live on ERS.

ERS continues to drive positive results with more than $74M in revenue related to room attributes generated through December 2019, of which approximately $22.6M is incremental (gross revenue from retail and member rates only).

Next Steps

See the 2020 Rollout Schedule on MGS for participating hotels. To prepare for rollout, hotels should review MGS for more information about ERS Preparation & Photography and ERS Activation rollout activities, along with coach/team selection, training, and other resources. The 2020 Rollout will occur in two phases:

1)      ERS Preparation & Photography – This phase involves walking the rooms to identify attributes, developing a “Shot List” to schedule a photoshoot, then completing the photoshoot and submitting photos. The 2020 budget guidelines include ERS photography cost estimates.

2)      ERS Activation – This phase involves determining final attributes and pricing for each room that hotels will be selling through ERS and updating digital content with new room/attribute photography based on content standards. Completion of this phase will activate ERS and the hotel will be live.

Requirements

Prior to beginning the ERS Rollout, properties must:

  • Have FSPMS, LightSpeed or Opera PMS system with a two-way interface to MARSHA
  • Opera hotels only: have a licensed, installed, and functioning MIMPG interface (minimum version is 5.4.1.29)
  • Be live on One Yield v2
  • Be selling by bed type (or completed Bed Type Conversion – see details on MGS)
  • Have configuration, brand, and selling strategies currently supported by ERS: See “Out of Scope” reasons on the 2020 Rollout Schedule on MGS
