2020 Assessment of Annual AH&LA/HAC Membership Dues

As previously communicated, In continued support of advocacy efforts across the hotel industry, Marriott encourages participation and facilitates the collection of the annual American Hotel & Lodging Association (AH&LA) and Hotel Association of Canada (HAC) assessments each year on behalf of our owners and franchisees. 

Hotels that did not opt-out of the 2020 assessment of annual AH&LA or HAC membership dues in December 2019, should see this charge reflected on their February Owner Franchise Billing (OFB) invoice (received March 2020). Marriott will remit all funds collected directly to the applicable association.  Only hotels that pay the assessment by April 30, 2020 will receive membership benefits in 2020. Based on that, Marriott cannot consider any disputed charges or issue credits to hotels after April 30, 2020.
