Marriott Introduces Social Media Training


Franchise Management Companies | Marriott’s new Global Social Media Training is now available in the Digital Learning Zone (DLZ). The optional training course(s) and assessments will help associates understand how social media use may impact their interactions with others. We recommend that all associates, regardless of job function, complete the Social Media: Personal and Professional Impacts training located in the DLZ under “My Plan”.

Social Media Practitioners, or anyone who uses social media as part of their job functions, are also encouraged to complete the Social Media Management: Minimizing Risk training. We recommended that the lead associate responsible for social media on property take this training. To access the Social Media Management: Minimizing Risk training, associates should log into the DLZ, hover over their name, navigate to their “Profile” section and select “Social Media Practitioner” within the “What additional job functions do you perform?” section. Once complete, the course will become available in the associate’s “My Plan” area.

As previously communicated, associates across all brands can now view training directly in the enhanced Digital Learning Zone (DLZ) and manage their learning journeys from a single site. Support resources, including a Getting Started Flyer, FAQs, troubleshooting tips and more, are available on the site.
