Update to Americas Property Internet Partner Roster – February 2020

This information will be provided to hotels via the March 2 Weekly Update.

Since 2012, Marriott has focused on sourcing the best providers of internet service for our hotels. At this time, we would like to update you with the following change, effective February 25, 2020: Windstream has been removed from the Americas Property Internet Program.

Impacted hotels may choose to either exhaust the remaining contract term before switching to a new provider or review early termination options in their property agreement. Hotels in a month-to-month contract status should plan to switch to a new provider as soon as possible. Effective Feb. 25, Windstream is no longer authorized to sign new property internet agreements with Marriott hotels, nor can Windstream renew or extend existing agreements. This change does not impact Windstream’s eligibility to participate in other Marriott programs. All impacted hotels are still expected to meet applicable brand standard requirements regarding property internet systems. In 2020, the minimum acceptable GPNS version is 2015; hotels with older installations will fail the GPNS question on the BSA (16 pts) if they do not upgrade their system with a certified provider before their audit date. Beginning on January 1, 2021, the minimum acceptable version will be 2016.
