Over recent weeks, the spread of COVID-19 has had a significant impact on the travel industry and our business. Given the current environment, Marriott is taking steps to protect the long-term health of the business, hotels, and associates. All Americas Shared Services organizations have been asked to reduce costs over the next 60 days. In order to achieve this, we will be making some short-term staffing changes, to include reduced work schedules, furloughs, and temporary layoffs. Franchise management companies and franchised hotels can expect their current staffing and support models to change in the near-term. We understand this will impact your day-to-day points of contact in services like Field Marketing, PLUS, and Revenue Management Advisory Services. We are currently working through the details and will communicate more next week prior to these changes taking effect.
