Key Actions

U.S. & Canada Franchise Update | June 24, 2021

U.S. Only | Review Updated Associate Face Covering Guidance & Available Resources
Review the Ops Alert distributed June 21 and current Commitment to Clean Protocols for changes related to no longer requiring fully vaccinated associates to wear face coverings. As a reminder, there is updated signage available for hotels in jurisdictions which no longer require face coverings for fully vaccinated individuals. For those locations, hotels should remove all signage which states guest face coverings are required, and place new signage for our guest policy at the front entrance, front desk and lobby elevators.

Celebrate Debut of Marriott Bonvoy Global Marketing Campaign
A worldwide celebration of the transformative power of travel, the campaign is just as relevant to associates as guests. Hotels should use the activation tools and supporting resources to bring the campaign to life for associates as appropriate for their location based on current business conditions.

Complete Required Update for Windows 10 Marriott-Imaged Computers
Beginning this week and through Sept. 30, the next Microsoft version update for Marriott‐imaged computers running Windows 10 Enterprise will be installed. These updates keep Marriott systems current and secure, and depending on the age of the computer and Internet connectivity, this Microsoft upgrade (version 20H2) will take about one hour or more to complete, should not be interrupted and will involve multiple system restarts. Notification of the upgrade will appear on computers, advising users that it must be started within 48 hours. The action may be delayed during this allocated window of time, after which it will install automatically. System managers and IT points-of-contact may also help install this update locally during times that work best for property associates, if preferred.

Complete the Self-Audit by June 30 at 5 p.m. ET
Hotels that cannot access the QA Site, or need to modify access to reflect a different property, should use the QA Site Access Guide to submit an access request through Identity Center. Plan ahead as it can take several days for access to be approved and reflected on the QA site.
