U.S. & Canada Franchise Update | August 5, 2021 |
U.S. Only | Review “Updated Associate Face Covering Guidance for U.S. Managed by Marriott (MxM) Hotels” Following the updated guidance issued last week by the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC), Marriott has issued updated requirements for MxM hotels in the U.S. Effective Aug. 9, all Associates in counties identified by the CDC as areas of substantial or high transmission – regardless of their vaccination status – to wear a face covering while indoors. At this time, we are not requiring franchised hotel Associates to follow this guidance, but strongly encourage hotels to review the Operations Alert sent to MxM hotels and align with their franchise management company to determine if any changes should be made on property to protect the health and well-being of Associates and Guests. |
