Global Property Management System (GPMS) | December 2014 Update
The GPMS project remains on schedule and on budget. We began conversion of the first CFRST (FOSSE) beta property on December 5. This will be followed by two additional CFRST betas in January. Pilots for CFRST properties will begin in Q1 with full rollout to CFRST starting in Q2. Phase Two of this program, which includes deployment to Full Service properties, is targeted to begin in Q3.
Beta Property Update
We successfully converted our first CFRST beta property on December 5. This sets the foundation for rollout, including the introduction of a new product release from Oracle, that enables robust and enhanced interfaces with many of Marriott’s core enterprise applications including Reservations, Rewards, BTR, eFolio, GL, and CTAC. Over the next few months we will further refine the conversion processes and the new system based on learnings from the beta and pilot properties.
GPMS OPERA 2015 Deployment Schedule
Last quarter, we shared the ‘week of’ rollout schedule for CFRST (FOSSE) hotels scheduled to convert to GPMS OPERA in 2015 with the General Managers and leaders of those properties. The ‘week of’ schedule for Full Service properties transitioning to GPMS OPERA in 2015 is targeted to be available next quarter.
As a reminder, for budgeting purposes, we have provided links on the GPMS MGS site to the 2015 Budget (OpEx and CapEx) guidelines so properties can plan accordingly. Up-to-date cost estimates are also accessible from this site.
Additional Resources on MGS
Additional information and resources were added to the GPMS MGS site to help with planning and preparing for the GPMS OPERA deployment. An Above-Property Resources tab has been added which will contain information that may be of special interest to owners and franchisees who manage financial information above-property. For example, information was recently added about options to extract financial data to above-property systems so that organizations can begin preparing to receive the data in new formats.
The GPMS team has also added the training curriculum under the “Training” tab to provide Above-Property Leaders, Property Coaches, and General Managers with more information on the required eLearning and Instructor-Led training for each role and function on-property.
I will continue to provide you updates as appropriate and of course please reach out to me at any point with questions or concerns. You can also send any questions you may have to GPMS Feedback and Questions.
