Marriott Joins True North Hotel Group and Other Franchisees in Supporting the ‘High Five Tour 2015’
We are pleased to announce that, for the second consecutive year, Marriott is partnering with the True North Hotel Group and other franchisees in support of the Wounded Warriors Family Support “High Five Tour.” This annual road trip raises funds toward the purchase of mobility-equipped vehicles for severely wounded veterans and and serves as a way to thank our military families for their sacrifices.

From April 27 through Aug. 1, the High Five Tour’s two mobility-equipped vehicles — a 2015 Ford Explorer and 2015 Ford F-150 — will visit 65 cities across 48 states (see the schedule). I’d like to invite you to join us in supporting military families by visiting a stop on the Tour and signing a car with a message of support to our country’s veterans and their families.
Marriott has provided a number of gift cards to be used during the Tour. For those of you who would like to get involved, we encourage you to provide special room rates at any hotels along the Tour stops, or alternatively, you can donate toward the cause. On behalf of all of us, I would like to send along sincere thanks to our owner and franchise partners for their support.
Absolutely 100% of all funds donated to the High Five Tour 2015 will go directly toward the purchase of over 50 mobility-equipped Ford Explorers which will be converted to hand-controlled operation for combat-wounded veterans who are paralyzed or have lost both of their legs. The Wounded Warriors Family Support organization believes that “given the right vehicle for mobility, combat-wounded veterans will have the freedom to live productive and quality lives with their families.”
