Details for Browser Upgrade to Internet Explorer 11 (IE11)

Franchisees | Marriott International will be upgrading the standard browser on all Marriott-imaged PCs from Internet Explorer 8 (IE8) to Internet Explorer 11 (IE11), with property deployment beginning in October. Properties will be notified of this upgrade next week via the Weekly Update.

Prior to this upgrade, properties using Marriott-imaged PCs to access applications supported by their franchise management company should work with their IT support team to ensure compatibility of their franchise management company’s applications with IE11.
Properties using non-Marriott-imaged PCs (e.g., a PC supplied by their franchise management company) to connect to Marriott applications should work with their IT support team to ensure these devices are still able to access Marriott applications after the upgrade. Properties should also ensure their non-Marriott-imaged devices do not upgrade to IE11 prior to the Marriott upgrade, as all Marriott applications may not be compatible with IE11 before that time.

Note: We anticipate that most Marriott applications will be compatible with IE11 by the time the upgrade begins. However, CI/TY-SFAWeb-OneSource will be following an alternate schedule; a communication regarding a solution for these applications will be sent directly to affected users in the coming weeks. Additionally, franchisees using non-Marriott-imaged PCs to access Revenue Management applications such as One Yield, MRDW, MarRFP, HPP, Actuate, etc. should review details on MGS to ensure uninterrupted access to these applications.
