SpringHill Suites Save Art! Community Service Program
As we prepare to kick off SpringHill Suites’ 2015 Save Art! Community Service program, we wanted to ensure you are informed about and engaged in this critical brand program.
Program Overview
The Save Art! program, which is currently in its third year, features a partnership between SpringHill Suites and Fresh Artists. The program allows hotels to identify an under-served local public school to sponsor. Throughout the brand-designated time frame, hotels will raise donations to help purchase art supplies for their partner schools. After hotels report the total amount raised, art kits filled with classroom art supplies will be prepared by Fresh Artists and sent to hotels so they can then deliver the supplies to their partner schools.
Results To-Date
- More than $90,000 raised in the first two years of the program
- 310 art supply deliveries made to under-served schools in SpringHill Suites’ communities
Changes for 2015
Based on feedback from GMs, we extended the fundraising period this year to begin during the summer months and wrap up at the end of September.
To enhance the fundraising efforts at the hotels and the contribution to the local schools, the brand committed to providing each property with an art cart and has since provided carts from The Container Store, along with supplies from Fresh Artists, as part of the 2015 Summer A.I.R. Kit. Carts will be displayed in hotel lobbies during the Save Art! program and will be stocked full of supplies and given to partner schools at the end of the year.
At this year’s GMs Conference, each SHS GM set a fundraising goal for the amount they hope to raise for their partner school and we are pleased to announce that in total, SHS properties are targeting raising over $180,000 in 2015.

- Familiarize yourself with the program through the Save Art! MGS Page & Program Guide.
- Share these resources, as appropriate, with other SpringHill Suites stakeholders within your organization.
- Discuss fundraising goals and action plans with your GMs.
- If your company allows, consider matching the funds raised by your properties to make a bigger impact and drive engagement.
