GPMS Update – November 2015
As communicated in October, due to instability issues in the GPMS data centers, we decided to halt further GPMS deployments until we have fully identified the issues and are able to implement a stable GPMS platform. Since that time, we have made some progress and would like to share updated information regarding the deployment schedule and cost estimates.
Schedule
The project team is currently focused on improving the stability of GPMS. Before we resume conversions, there are specific criteria that must be met to ensure we are moving properties to a stable experience.
We understand this halt will impact budget planning for some hotels and as a result, we have published on MGS updated lists of FOSSE and FSPMS properties targeted to convert to GPMS in 2016. These updated lists are intended to help hotels determine whether they should be planning for an operational and capital impact in 2016. The exact go-live dates for these properties will be communicated to each GM approximately 4 to 5 months prior to their go-live date. We will continue to keep you updated as we move closer to resuming GPMS conversions.
Cost Calculator
The GPMS New Opening cost calculator has been updated on MGS to assist properties in estimating one-time and ongoing GPMS costs (note: properties should use the Conversions or New Openings cost calculator, as applicable). The calculator, which will display a summary of GPMS costs and the relevant billing source, is designed to estimate costs for 2016 budgeting purposes.
