Marriott Hotels Brand Update: Revised Guest Room Brand Standards
MH Owners, Franchisees and Management Companies in the U.S. & Canada,
As a follow-up to the Marriott Hotels Brand Update I sent you in October, I want to share the revised MH Guest Room Brand Standards. These updates provide greater detail on the requirements for the new room as well as the timeline for the bathroom renovation I communicated in October. They also incorporate key learnings from the “early adopter” hotels that have recently implemented the new MH guest room. Click here to view details of the revised standards.
The design elements of the new room were developed based on guest feedback, which tells us that a renovated bathroom with a walk-in shower is essential to improving customer perception and reshaping the Marriott Hotels brand. Many of you are aligned on this strategy and agree it is critical for the brand to implement these changes quickly.
My team and I remain committed to working with you toward achieving the critical brand goal of converting 75% of bathrooms to include walk-in showers by 2021. We look forward to our continued progress as we work to improve the health and strength of the Marriott Hotels brand.
Best regards,
Dave Grissen
