Courtyard F&B Associate and Manager Required Training Launching March 1, 2016


As The Bistro continues to evolve, the brand’s focus on providing the best possible F&B experience for guests remains a key priority. To ensure a consistent guest experience and elevate bartending and culinary skills, we are implementing F&B Associate and Manager required training.

The Culinary and Beverage training programs are designed to educate and train F&B associates and managers to perform all culinary and bartending tasks with confidence and provide an excellent guest experience. The GM and all managers, supervisors, and associates that have direct responsibility for food & beverage are required to complete the training. The training consists of two courses and will be delivered via MyLearning:

  • Culinary Training: Required for all CY properties with the Bistro
  • Beverage Training: Required for all CY properties with the Bistro or a brand-approved, hotel-specific restaurant/bar concept

The charge for this Culinary and Beverage Training will be $250 per property per year for an unlimited number of users, and this year’s cost will be charged to hotels in May. Initial certification for all F&B associates and managers is required by May 31, 2016. Moving forward, all new hire associates and managers are required to complete the training within 60 days of hire.
