Guestroom Entertainment Update | Sonifi Video on Demand (VOD)

In support of Marriott’s efforts to strengthen our brands and create a deeper connection with guests, we would like to provide an update on our Guestroom Entertainment Platform. Beginning in 2016, we are offering new opportunities that enable more hotels to take advantage of the program, which is a brand standard for the U.S. and Canada.
All hotels will have the option to install the newly designed Sonifi Video on Demand application by mid-2016. This application will function similarly to the other Guestroom Entertainment over-the-top applications (for example, Netflix and YouTube). This newly-designed Video on Demand application by Sonifi is approved to be a part of the Guestroom Entertainment platform, even though Sonifi is not an approved provider of the platform itself. As you may remember, Enseo, Guest-tek and World Cinema are the three approved providers of the Guestroom Entertainment Platform. More information will be available in the coming months for hotels that are interested in Video on Demand.
HOTELS WITH EXISTING SONIFI CONTRACTS:
Sonifi has agreed to terminate any existing Video on Demand platform contracts it has with hotels that install the Marriott Guestroom Entertainment Platform. In exchange, hotels will be obligated to include the newly-designed Sonifi Video on Demand application within the Guestroom Entertainment Platform for three years. The application is designed to integrate seamlessly within the Marriott platform. If you are currently under an existing Sonifi contract and are interested in installing the new Guestroom Entertainment Platform, please contact the Sonifi team at 877-388-5387 or salesclientserv@sonifi.com to begin the contract termination process. When you contact Sonifi, please include or have available your SONIFI Site ID#, Primary Point of Contact and projected De-Install Date. MH INCENTIVE:
As a reminder, for Marriott Hotels only, we are extending the deadline for the $4/room/month incentive through November 1, 2016. In order to be eligible for the incentive, MH properties must show a proof of contract with an approved provider by November 1, 2016.
