Marriott.com Search Results Photo Guidelines
Franchisees | Recent research conducted by the Marriott Digital team reveals that imagery on Marriott.com can have a significant impact on the guest experience and encourage further exploration of hotel websites. As a result, Marriott’s brand teams have developed new guidelines for hotels to ensure the photo that is displayed within Marriott.com Search Results is compelling to the consumer.
The guidelines are customized for each brand and provide details on the requirements for each hotel’s photo. In an effort to provide flexibility for any properties that do not have the required photo, alternate photo options will be acceptable for each brand and are included in the guidelines.
Given the importance of hotel photography, this new requirement will appear on the BSA beginning January 1, 2017. Hotels will be asked, via the Q2 Game Plans and an upcoming Weekly Update, to:
- Review details to determine the required photo (or approved alternate, if necessary) for their brand.
- Submit a Change Request Form to update their photo by June 30, 2016.
