VISA Checkout Launching September 8
As part of our broader digital strategy and in an effort to meet the evolving needs of guests across the globe, Marriott is pursuing options for Alternate Payments.
VISA Checkout, the first capability as part of a larger Alternate Payments roadmap, will launch on Marriott.com on September 8 and is anticipated to launch in the Marriott Mobile App by early 2017. This digital wallet application holds guests’ payment information and auto-populates the requested fields during the reservation process, which we believe can increase conversion rates by providing a simple, secure and faster method for guests to complete their digital transactions.
Rewards Members and non-members booking online will have the opportunity to complete reservations using VISA Checkout. Associates will be asked, via the September 5 Weekly Update, to review details on the Alternate Payment MGS page to gain awareness and prepare to address any guest questions.
