PMS Reporting Updates
Franchise Management Companies | To align with Uniform System of Accounts for the Lodging Industry (USALI) guidance for reporting a Pet Fee and/or Smoke Free Environment Fee as Rooms Revenue, property management system updates have been implemented within FOSSE and FSPMS. These changes are intended to ensure properties no longer need to manually transfer revenue from another department, and also to ensure that RevPAR and reporting to STR are accurate. For FOSSE, this change has been implemented as of Aug. 25. For FSPMS, hotels that are manually moving the revenue can update the charge codes directly in the system.
This information has been communicated to hotels in the U.S. & Canada via the October 3 Franchise Weekly Update. Please work with your hotel’s finance team to better understand these changes and ensure they are following and complying with this USALI guidance.
