GPOS Workstation 2.9 Upgrade

Marriott Select Brands Franchisees | We want to inform you that Marriott will be upgrading GPOS Simphony from Version 2.7 to Version 2.9 in the next few months. The Simphony upgrade is coupled with an upgrade of MyMICROS to Version 8.5.1. The Simphony 2.9 upgrade will ensure that all GPOS properties have access to the latest Simphony product features and enhancements, as well as access to full Oracle software support. In addition, there are several resolved defects included in Version 2.9 that we believe will improve the GPOS Simphony experience for Marriott-branded properties.

This upgrade will begin for Marriott Select Brands hotels on July 24. Hotels will be notified of this upgrade through the July 24 Weekly Update and will also receive direct email from Marriott in advance of their scheduled rollout date. Details, including the rollout schedule, are available on MGS. Please note: full service hotels will also upgrade from Version 2.7 to Version 2.9 later this year and details will be shared in advance of that rollout.
