TownePlace Suites Hotels Required to Update TowneMap
Since its inception 10 years ago, the TowneMap has been a central feature for delivering local knowledge and enhancing the connection of guests to the local community. To ensure the TowneMap continues to feature the top places to “eat, live and play” in the local area, all TownePlace Suites hotels must replace their TowneMap by June 30, 2019. Additionally, the updated TowneMap (both physical and optional digital map) must reflect the new brand logo.
Note that budget guidance for 2019 CAPEX will include instructions for this change; however, hotels may accelerate this transition at their discretion. Hotels may consider repurposing funds originally budgeted for The Market enhancements to cover the cost of new TowneMaps. Costs previously planned for The Market will not be incurred.
