SPG – Uber Partnership to End After December 17

The following information, along with applicable property guidance, will be provided to SPG hotels via the October 30 edition of the Weekly Update.

Uber has been a strategic partnership for the SPG program since 2015, and over the past three years, linked members with at least 1 stay per year have been eligible to earn bonus Starpoints for Uber rides. While SPG and Uber have been happy to provide this offering, the partnership will not be renewed for 2018, and will come to an end after 11:59 p.m. EST on December 17, 2017. 

A communication has been sent to SPG members that have linked their accounts with Uber to inform them of the changes. Members who have met all of the requirements to earn Starpoints in accordance with the SPG-Uber benefits program, including (without limitation) having a stay posted to their SPG Member account for the current calendar year, will continue to earn Starpoints on Uber rides up until 11:59 p.m. ET on December 17, subject to applicable limits.
