Sustainability Initiative: Bulk Shower Dispensers
As previously communicated, Marriott is offering the option for hotels to replace small plastic toiletry bottles in guest showers with wall-mounted pump dispensers across five select and extended-stay brands to include Courtyard, Fairfield, Residence Inn, SpringHill Suites and TownePlace Suites. This plastic-saving initiative is a great example of how the company is working to Sustain Responsible Operations, an integral part of Serve 360: Doing Good in Every Direction. Last week, this initiative garnered media attention in both LODGING and Green Lodging News. The coverage reinforces Marriott’s commitment to sustainability within the industry. The transition to bulk dispensers not only positively impacts owners’ bottom line and drives sustainable operations, but also results in heightened guest comfort.
Four Points, Moxy, Aloft, and Element also offer a bulk amenity program option. Additionally, an adapted program will be introduced for the AC brand in Q3 2018.
