New Advanced Service Learning Experience Coming to Moxy Hotels
Moxy Franchise Management Companies | “Pump Up the Moxy,” Moxy’s new advanced service learning experience inspired by improv, is launching June 6 at all Moxy hotels. “Pump Up the Moxy” is a series of eight interactive and highly engaging learning activities developed in partnership with Upright Citizens Brigade (UCB) – a world-renowned improv comedy group. The first of its kind at Marriott, the brand is using improv to teach crew members fun ways to make genuine connections with guests.
Through this journey of developing “Pump Up the Moxy,” Moxy has also established consumer-facing extensions of this partnership that include improv programming on-property, improv workshops and social media opportunities. To date, “Pump Up the Moxy” has garnered 19M impressions, including an online feature in Fast Company, as well as coverage in Hotel Business and Hospitality Net. “Pump Up the Moxy” is another way the brand differentiates the service to deliver exclusive guest experiences. The goal with this new learning activation is to equip crew members with the skills and confidence to embody the unique elements of Moxy’s culture and service. Key highlights include:
- Each module contains a video and interactive activity that pulls through Moxy’s core values of thoughtful, spirited and fun.
- The program is designed for crew members who interact closely with guests.
- All new high guest contact crew members are required to complete the training within three to six months of hire. Existing high guest contact crew members who have been with Moxy for at least six months are required to complete the training by Dec. 31, 2018.
