Announcing Hotel Category Placements & Base Reimbursement Rate for Combined Loyalty Program
As you know, starting in August, Marriott Rewards®, The Ritz-Carlton Rewards® and Starwood Preferred Guest® (SPG®) will come together as one combined program. Under a new award chart, standard redemption rates for category 1–7 will be available to book starting in August, and in early 2019, we’ll add peak, off-peak and category 8 redemption rates.
We wanted to provide an update on the timeline for the announcement of these new data points. Target dates for outreach to key stakeholders are as follows:
- June 27, 2018: Hotel Notification
- GMs and HPP contacts will receive an email with their Category, Base Reimbursement Rate, and Cash + Points information
- June 28, 2018: Owner & Franchisee Notification
- Owners and Franchisees will receive a direct email linking to the new hotel category listing
- June 28, 2018: Member Notification
- Members of Marriott Rewards®, The Ritz-Carlton Rewards® and Starwood Preferred Guest® (SPG®) will receive a direct email linking to the new hotel category listing on members.marriott.com
- July 2, 2018: Hotels to be reminded of 2018 Category Placements via Weekly Update
