Sheraton Transformation Debut at NYU International Hospitality Industry Investment Conference

Last week at the NYU International Hospitality Industry Investment Conference in New York, Sheraton took a major step forward in its transformation journey. The brand welcomed owners, investors, analysts and Marriott International sales teams to a special 4,200 sq. ft. build-out, showcasing its vision for public spaces.

Sheraton sits at the heart of communities around the world, and the brand’s new positioning of The World’s Gathering Place pays homage to its rich 80-year history in being a place of gathering and welcome for both the guest and the local.

The public space build-out at NYU allowed key stakeholders to understand and experience a tangible, immersive, and inspiring representation of the concepts that collectively embody the vision for the future of the Sheraton public space. These concepts amplify Sheraton’s legacy as the ultimate gathering place by leaning into services and design that enable socialization, productivity, and personalization. Its strategy features collaborative venues, technology enabled designs, and a host who helps deliver a unique experience that is exclusive to Sheraton.

In the U.S. alone, nearly $500 million dollars are committed by the Sheraton owner community toward renovations, and 25% of Sheraton hotels globally are already under renovation or committed. Recognizing this window of opportunity, Sheraton expects to make the new designs available quickly in Q3 of 2018.

In addition to the new public space, Sheraton has created a core room package that reduces the cost per key by over 30%. The core package is already available to designers and is intended for hotels that need a more economic design for renovations and conversions. Additionally, in partnership with continent leaders, Sheraton is developing a more custom, elevated guest room package intended for specific markets, global markets and Sheraton Grand. Final estimates and pricing will be available in Q3 2018.

Further communications regarding the details of Sheraton’s transformation efforts will be forthcoming. In the meantime, we thank you for your continued support of Sheraton and invite you to explore the recaps below to experience the vision for Sheraton’s public spaces.
