Moxy Guest Room Refinements


Moxy Owners & Franchise Management Companies | As part of Marriott’s continued effort to improve guest perception and owner preference, Global Design is pleased to announce the Moxy Hotels’ guest room design release, which is effective immediately and available via LOBO (EID and password required).

Moxy first opened its doors three years ago and today, there are 29 properties open around the world, and a strong development pipeline. To support this distribution and in response to owner feedback, Marriott Global Design focused  on guest room design refinement. This new guest room package, named “Urban Camp”, also supports owner investment as it is anticipated to generate an approximate 3% cost savings as compared to the previous design. 

In this update, we simplified implementation in the field, giving guests the ability to make it their own while keeping the brand’s playful spirit throughout. The following summarizes Gen 1.0 modifications and architectural changes in the guestroom to create Gen 1.5:

  • New Décor Package “Urban Camp” created
  • Guestroom design refinement, including:
    • Entry door and opening direction updated
    • Peg wall simplified
    • Casegoods, lighting, artwork, and headboard cushions updated
    • Niche wall and shelf added at bed wall
    • Bath vanity, mirror, and lighting updated
    • Bath shower window removed
    • Bath door revised
  • Corridor design revised to change lighting, paint, and carpet
