New PepsiCo Beverage Global Agreement
To leverage Marriott’s purchasing power and achieve synergies that benefit hotels, we have reached an agreement with PepsiCo to supply beverages to SPG and Marriott Rewards hotels. As you know, Pepsi was the previously-approved vendor for Marriott Rewards Hotels in U.S. and Canada, and many SPG hotels have already begun offering PepsiCo beverages in alignment with the new global PepsiCo beverage global brand standard.
Once converted, hotels should follow the detailed requirements outlined in the standard, including:
- Purchasing all brand standard products
- No competitor carbonated beverages (sodas, diet sodas and lemon-lime products) should be visible throughout the property
- No competitor carbonated beverages in retail outlets or mini-bars
- No competitor branded menus or equipment (menus, coolers, etc.)
- The following PepsiCo beverages must be available on property:
- U.S.: Pepsi, Diet Pepsi, Mist TWST, Mountain Dew and Diet Mountain Dew.
- Canada: Pepsi, Diet Pepsi, 7UP, Mountain Dew, Diet Mountain Dew and Pure Leaf Iced Tea.
Franchise Management Companies | Hotels that have not yet converted should take action now to complete this implementation. We ask that you ensure your hotel(s) that have not yet implemented Pepsi products contact Daniel.Hennessy@pepsico.com to schedule a site survey.
Please continue to work with your hotel(s) to ensure they are partnering with PepsiCo to complete the conversion to, and meeting the requirements of, the brand standard. We encourage you to review the PepsiCo Program MGS page, the PepsiCo FAQs and Global Brand Standard with your hotel(s) to ensure they understand the expectations and requirements.
Additionally, note that in order to receive full benefits of the agreement with PepsiCo, hotels must submit a W9 Credit Application. Management companies of hotels that have not yet provided this W9 will receive a follow-up communication with details.
