Expanded Look No Further Best Rate Guarantee (BRG) Charging Structure to Take Effect for SPG Hotels Beginning Jan. 1
Beginning on Jan. 1, 2019 the expanded Look No Further (LNF) Best Rate Guarantee charging structure, which incorporates Supernova rate parity scores and OTA violations observed by Supernova, will take effect for SPG hotels. Since the launch of Supernova in early 2018 and the expansion of the charging structure for Marriott Rewards hotels in August, we’ve seen significant gains in rate parity portfolio-wide, with the percentage of Green hotels increasing from 37% in January to 90% in October.
As previously communicated, all SPG hotels have been given access to Supernova and have worked throughout 2018 to improve their rate parity. Hotels achieving a Green rate parity score will see significantly lower BRG costs than under the prior charging structure.
Achieving and maintaining Rate Parity Score Green is a Brand Standard, and all hotels are required to comply. More information, including a guide on gaining access to Supernova if necessary, can be found on MGS.
