Managed by Marriott Hotel Owners in the U.S. | David Marriott will become President, U.S. Full Service MxM, with responsibility for more than 320 full service Managed by Marriott (MxM) hotels in the U.S. The East and West regions will remain, and Carla Murray and Jim Connelly have been promoted to Chief Operating Officers for the West and East, respectively. Within their new roles, both Carla and Jim will continue to have direct oversight of a subset of hotels, and the AVPs in those regions will report to Carla and Jim. An updated alignment of hotels to AVPs is available to provide more details.

Mike Stengel, SVP Gaylord Hotels & Convention Strategy, will continue to report to David. Additionally, Bob Kharazmi will also take on an expanded role to bring additional focus to the luxury segment. Bob will continue to report directly to David, with both the West and East luxury AVPs and Area GMs reporting up to Bob.

We feel confident this modified structure will bring alignment to the U.S. full service organization, while also maintaining the benefits of separate West and East regional structures to best support the markets, allowing your hotels to continue to receive dedicated support from their AVP while receiving additional strategic oversight from their respective COO as well as the President.
