GXP Phase 2 Deployment for FOSSE and GPMS Properties
EMPOWER: Guest Experiences (GXP) Phase 2 will go live in approximately 3,500 FOSSE PMS and GPMS properties in the U.S. & Canada in March 2019.
Properties using FOSSE PMS are currently live with the Mobile Requests & Chat features of GXP, as well as Loyalty benefits. Beginning in 2019, these properties, along with GPMS properties, will have access to the full features of the platform including case creation, work order creation, inspections, auto-dispatch and optional Interactive Voice Response (IVR) capabilities.
For 2019, the minimum number of required GXP licenses as well as annual support costs are included in the Program Services Fund (PSF). The minimum number of required licenses is based on the size of the hotel. For example, if the hotel has 300 rooms, they would be required to have 2 packages of licenses for a total of 30 licenses. Based on their operational needs, the hotel may determine that they need more than the minimum number of licenses. Additional licenses are sold in packages of 15. The cost for any additional license packages will be billed to the hotel directly at a cost of $454 per 15 licenses. As a reminder, a User License is required for all Property, Dispatch, Property Administrator, and Non-EID Users. IVR Users do not count as a User License. Additionally, there is a $200 one-time deployment cost that is not included in the PSF. For a breakdown of cost considerations, see the program costs summary.
Properties will have the opportunity to begin pre-deployment tasks later this month ahead of the official deployment kickoff in January. These tasks include selecting a coach, cataloging guestrooms and public spaces, and signing up for IVR. During the deployment in Q1 2019, there will be a cadence of live property webinars as well as training on the additional GXP features they will be using prior to go-live in March.
