Supernova Rate Shopping Tool to be Expanded to Include HotelTonight


As you know, HotelTonight is a last-minute booking channel for deeply discounted inventory and is not an approved program for hotels. In support of this Point of View, beginning on February 18, 2019, Supernova will perform rate parity shopping on HotelTonight in addition to the existing shopped channels for hotels in North America. Hotels will have access to HotelTonight parity data directly in Supernova along with the other existing channels, and franchise management company contacts will have access to the data within their monthly LNF Scorecard beginning in March 2019.

HotelTonight results will be incorporated into Rate Parity Scores and the Supernova BRG charging structure beginning on April 1, 2019. HotelTonight will be considered an OTA (in addition to Expedia, Booking.com and Priceline) for the purposes of parity score calculation and Supernova charges. From February 18 until March 31, all HotelTonight results will be centrally reversed at month-end. This will provide hotels a grace period in which to correct any existing parity issues found on HotelTonight. More information can be found on MGS.
