EMPOWER: Guest Experiences (GXP) New Features Available on March 20
This information will be provided to hotels via the March 18 version of the Weekly Update.
As you know, the EMPOWER: Guest Experiences (GXP) platform is now currently live in hotels across all brands in the U.S. and Canada, with the exception of The Ritz-Carlton and EDITION hotels which are planned for launch on April 2, 2019*. The platform, which captures guest preferences and activates the power of personalization while empowering hotels to streamline workloads and enhance guest experiences, continues to evolve with periodic enhancements and new capabilities – many of which are developed based on hotel feedback.
The next planned series of enhancements will occur on March 20 and will include new features to improve pre-arrival planning. For example, hotels will have the ability to search for future reservations more than 10 days out, as well as the next stay at other hotels to coordinate recognition with other properties. As requested by hotels, new filters will be added to the Guest Planning Screen (GPS) to allow hotels to better customize the report to align with their pre-arrival planning process. More details about these and other new features that will be available on March 20 can be found on the GXP MGS page.
As a reminder, GXP became a brand standard for hotels as of January 1, 2019. To ensure adherence to the brand standard, hotels must implement the Case Management, Mobile Request + Chat, and Guest Recognition features of GXP. These features offer many benefits, including the ability to track and respond to guest requests, chats, and incidents through the case management features. Review the full brand standard for more details.
