Launch of the Marriott Bonvoy™ Connector
Marriott Bonvoy is more than a loyalty program; it is a promise of “good travel” for members. To deliver on this promise, all hotels must identify a strong leader, or team of leaders, to serve as the “Marriott Bonvoy Connector(s)” to enable activation of Marriott Bonvoy on property.
Today, most hotels have a selected “Loyalty Champion”, and if they did not select a champion, that role is currently being filled by the General Manager. The Marriott Bonvoy Connector is an evolution of the this Loyalty Champion role; but it is more than a name change. It is an opportunity to take Marriott Bonvoy and create a completely new experience for guests and associates. The Marriott Bonvoy Connectors have two objectives:
- Deliver the program basics, working with all hotel associates to ensure that every member receives their Marriott Bonvoy benefits.
- Use the Marriott Bonvoy Connector tools and best practices to cultivate the Loyalty Mindset on property and create the memorable travel experiences that drive loyalty.
Every month, we will be communicating directly with the Connector(s) at your hotel(s) to provide them with the tools and resources needed to cultivate a strong Marriott Bonvoy culture, elevate Elite recognition, and drive new member enrollments. Connectors will also be engaged to ensure critical tasks in Land-It are complete and will be invited to join dedicated Office Hours to allow for questions and further dialogue.
More than one Loyalty Connector at each hotel is welcome. Should GMs feel more than one Connector is necessary, he/she can assign more than one. Your General Manager(s) received a direct email on April 17 with more detail and instructions, including the link to their Land-It tasklist and upcoming Marriott Bonvoy Connector office hours.
