Marriott Bonvoy™ Tours & Activities Update
In support of Marriott’s effort to be the world’s favorite travel company, Marriott Bonvoy Tours & Activities offers travel experiences in destinations across the world, such as food and wine tours, culinary classes, sightseeing tours, as well as more adventurous excursions like shark cave diving, hot air ballooning and dog sledding. The platform, which originally launched in August 2017 and is supported by Marriott’s equity investment in PlacePass, enables us to connect with guests and consumers during more of their travel journey.
The capabilities of the platform were recently enhanced to allow hotels to sell activities and amenities of their own, as well as recommend local partners.

Franchise management companies are encouraged to ensure their hotels are taking steps to activate this program on property.
- Hotel leadership should educate guest-facing associates on the resources available on MGS.
- High-Guest-Contact associates who would engage in conversations with guests about local attractions are encouraged to complete a 30-minute myLearning course to familiarize themselves with how best to use the website when interacting with guests.
- Hotel GMs and Front Office staff are encouraged to register for one of the upcoming Marriott Bonvoy Tours & Activities webinars in May, which will provide an overview of the program and opportunities for hotels to generate revenue through the platform.
