Sertifi eAuthorize Tool Available for Third-Party Payments
As previously communicated, Marriott International has partnered with Sertifi to offer a safe and secure third-party payment management tool to hotels. This tool can be used in place of Marriott Rewards hotels’ current manual faxing process and SPG hotels’ current eCCA portal used to send/receive credit-card authorization forms on property. This tool can be used by Events, Finance, Front Office, Group Housing, and Reservations associates on property to facilitate third-party receipt payment forms.
Details
Given the transition from eCCA in January, Sertifi was deployed to legacy SPG hotels via an accelerated timeline. The tool was then made available to legacy Marriott Rewards hotels in February.
The cost of Sertifi is included as part of the Program Services Fund (PSF), and as such, we highly recommend that hotels use Sertifi. For any hotels not participating in the PSF, Sertifi will be billed for separately, as communicated via the 2019 budget instructions. Franchised hotels already using an off-the-shelf version of Sertifi are encouraged to transition to the Marriott International enterprise-wide Master Service Agreement (MSA) with Sertifi.
Next Steps for Activation
GMs received a Land-It tasklist with instructions on how to set up their portal and enroll property admins and users. Note: every associate who needs access to Sertifi eAuthorize must have an EID and a unique email address. Additionally, every associate must enroll in Two-Step Verification, an enterprise security layer for certain applications that process sensitive data.
To assist hotels in completing the necessary steps for activation, Sertifi is offering a weekly training Webinar for eAuthorize; details and registration information are available on MGS.
